CGSA 2023 Career Day

A big thank you to the #RiceChemistryGraduateStudentAssociation for the invitation to be a speaker at this year’s CGSA Career Day and the thoughtful gift! Pleasure to be back on campus, presenting where I presented many times before, including for my dissertation defense. Happy to connect and attend future events. My best to all!

Fifth-anniversary!

Another year has come and gone. And what a year it was. Many, many thanks to all who have supported me and my business during this challenging year.

Five years deserves five days of vacation. We are presently on day four canoeing down the Namekagon River. So beautiful. Highly recommend.

Such a milestone. Such a blessing. So appreciative.

Wishing everyone health and happiness.

01/06/2021: A day of days

Cheney Forensic Consulting, I, care deeply about the communities where we live, where we work, and where we vote.  While we believe in the right of all Americans to peacefully protest, violence is inconsistent with our country’s values and should never be encouraged by our leaders or our citizens.

Goodbye 2020 and Hello 2021!

In continuing with tradition, happiest of holidays from Cheney Forensic Consulting! Two weeks until 2021 arrives. To those who have lost this year, from the bottom of my heart, my condolences to you. I lost an uncle to COVID. May the new year provide us with peace, hope, and renewed strength.

A sincere thank you to all those who have supported Cheney Forensic Consulting in 2020! Happy holidays and choose to be safe and responsible this holiday season. Don’t drink and drive!

**Alert** NASA Positions Posted in USA JOBS Today for 2 days **Alert**

Please see below for job posting information provided by a friend at NASA! 2 days only!

Six NASA JSC Engineering positions just posted for 2 days: Info below:

Announcements for the below positions will be posted on USAJOBS between October 13, 2020 – October 14, 2020.  The NASA Johnson Space Center’s Engineering Directorate will use these opportunities to potentially fill multiple external vacancies across the directorate.  NASA hires passionate professionals united by a common purpose: to pioneer the future in space exploration and human spaceflight.  If you are interested in any of the below opportunities, please apply via USAJOBS.

Please note that each position type has both a permanent and term vacancy announcement. Please feel free to apply to both types of announcements to be considered for all potential openings.

Some keys for successfully applying:

All interested applicants should carefully review the vacancy announcement.  Applicants must submit an application online using the “Apply” button/icon in the announcement.  The online application process will require applicants to build a resume in the USAJOBS website.  Full instructions are provided in the “How to Apply” section of the vacancy announcement and additional details on NASA’s specific vacancy announcement process are provided in the “Applicant Guide” link provided within that section.

Applicants should carefully review their resume to ensure that it completely represents how their experience matches the skills and competencies applicable to the position they are applying for. In addition, Aerospace Engineer and Electronics Engineer AST positions require additional information related to education and/or certification that applicants should be sure to address.  Some tips applicants should keep in mind in reviewing their resume:

•                     Be specific;

•                     Use action words;

•                     Use technical terms; and,

•                     If using an acronym, spell out any acronyms the first time it is used in the resume (where applicable describe the type of work/work processes that may be entailed/assumed by acronyms that cover functions/types of work).

While applicants may start and stop their application process, they must finish the entire process and a complete application must be received by no later than 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time/10:59pm Central Standard Time on the closing date of the announcement, in order to be considered.  To ensure that applicants have enough time to build a USAJOBS resume and resolve any potential technical difficulties they may encounter, we strongly encourage interested applicants to begin and complete the application process as soon as possible.
